United Against the Academic Boycott of Israel

Open letter denying the Gaza genocide and opposing academic boycotts of Israeli universities.

United Against the Academic Boycott of Israel is an open letter initiated by Dr. Maarten Boudry (Ghent University) arguing that academic boycotts of Israeli universities are “selective, unfair, and counterproductive.” The letter states “the accusation that Israel is deliberately pursuing literal physical genocide in Gaza traffics in ugly canards and tropes about the sinister and malevolent Jew.” Originally published in Quillette in June 2024.
