One day, when it's safe, when there's no personal downside to calling a thing what it is, when it's too late to hold anyone accountable, everyone will have always been against this.
We include public figures who have worked with the State of Israel or supported it. Usually, this means appearing with representatives of the State of Israel, like the Consul General of Israel to New England.
Signing a pro-Israel letter or backing pro-Israel legislation also qualifies.
We include events where Israeli officials or symbols (e.g. flags) are present.
When Israeli officials or symbols are present at an event that a reasonable person would not recognize as Israel-related, we limit inclusion to people who interacted with Israeli officials or symbols. Being in the audience of a menorah lighting does not merit inclusion; posing for a photo with an Israeli diplomat does.
There is immense public interest in Jeffrey Epstein, and there is a local angle in his connections to Harvard faculty.
