Bipartisan Statement on Amnesty International's Report on Israel
Letter from 22 House members condemning Amnesty International's report accusing Israel of genocide
The Bipartisan Statement on Amnesty International’s Report on Israel was led by Rep. Josh Gottheimer. A bipartisan group of 22 House members released a statement condemning Amnesty International’s December 2024 report accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza. The statement called the report’s claims “slanderous” and reflective of a “long-standing, historically biased position against Israel,” accusing Amnesty of creating “its own definition of the legal term ‘genocide’” and standing “with the narratives produced and promoted by Hamas.”
