Richard Neal is a U.S. Representative from Massachusetts’s 1st congressional district. He has supported the State of Israel in Congress. He met with Israeli Consul General Meron Reuben in 2021 and voted for both the 2024 $26.4 billion Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act and the 21st Century Peace through Strength Act (TikTok ban) in April 2024.
During Congressman Neal’s bid for re-election in 2020, an AIPAC-affiliated Super PAC, Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI), spent $175,000 on TV advertising opposing his opponent in the Democratic primary, Alex Morse. DMFI congratulated Richard Neal on his win: “Chairman Neal earned our support in this race by consistently advocating for Democratic values, including support for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship.”
